Washtenaw Community College offers an A.A.S. degree for an entry level career in the field of diagnostic radiography. Students are enrolled in a two-year comprehensive curriculum that includes specialty course in diagnostic imaging, extensive clinical training in affiliated hospitals and an array of core elective courses.
Upon successful completion of the radiography program students may obtain additional training in other diagnostic imaging specialties such as computed tomography (CT), mammography, magnetic resonance (MRI) imaging and cardiovascular interventional imaging.
Students may also obtain advanced degrees in diagnostic medical sonography, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy. Career opportunities in healthcare management and education are available for students who obtain a Bachelor’s of Science degree. Washtenaw Community College currently has an articulation agreement with Eastern Michigan University for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Administration.
