On Saturday, July 8, the WCC internet connectivity will be down for approximately four hours. Our internet
service provider (ISP), Merit, will be performing maintenance on their infrastructure,
working with DTE to replace utility poles in our service area. Internet access into
and out of the WCC network will be unavailable during this period. Any service requiring
VPN or Single Sign-on or services that are hosted in the WCC Data Center will be unavailable
to faculty, staff and students.
Services Affected: WCC internet connection will be down.
Start Time: 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.
Anticipated End Time: 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.
What is Impacted? Avaya Softphones, including the Welcome Center phones, VPN, all shared drives, anything
requiring Single Sign-on (SSO), Email (Office 365/Gmail), Blackboard, MyWCC, Pay Tuition,
Register for Classes and Check Your Progress, Banner 8/9, Financial Aid Appeals System,
Portal applications, FAMIS, SARS Appointment Scheduling, UltraTime, and classroom/lab
computers will not have internet accessibility.
What Services Will be Available? Student Wi-Fi, On-site phones and the main college website, wccnet.edu, will be available.
