Beginning in the morning hours today — Wednesday, August 23 — WCC began to experience a variety of network and application / performance related issues. After a diligent effort by the ITS staff, we have isolated the fault to critical network equipment that controls essential systems in one of the datacenters. The intermittent nature of the failure made it difficult to detect and identify in a more timely manner.
Services Affected: All network (wired & wireless) connected systems and applications. This includes, but is not limited to, wireless network (Wi-Fi), wired network connections, business and academic systems such as Banner, and all web-related applications. In short, everything.

Estimated Resolution Time: 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23
What Services Will Be Available: Intermittent connectivity will persist during this resolution. Performance and application availability will continue to be degraded until resolved.
