Recent high school grads may be eligible to attend WCC tuition-free


Earn your degree debt-free!

In-district high school graduates from the 2023 and 2024 classes are eligible to attend WCC tuition-free as part of the Michigan Community College Guarantee. If you're 21-24, you may still qualify for free tuition through the Michigan Reconnect 21 Scholarship, but don't wait! The deadline to apply is November 15, 2024.

Guarantee Scholarship Eligibility

You're eligible to attend WCC tuition-free if you:

  • Have been a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year.
  • Graduated from a Michigan high school in 2023 or 2024.
  • Are an in-district student.
    • If you're not in-district, you'll still receive scholarship dollars and will only pay the difference between in-district and out-of-district costs.
  • Enroll in college full-time within 15 months of your high school graduation.

  1. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  2. Create an account on the Michigan Student Aid portal three to five business days after filing your FAFSA.
  3. Apply today at WCC
