Washtenaw Community College (WCC) will showcase its business programs at an open house on campus next week.
Prospective students and other members of the public interested in a business career are invited to the Business Department Showcase from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 17, in the Business Education Building, Room 260. First-time students as well as employees looking to enhance their current skill set are welcome.
WCC offers a variety of business degrees and certificates, including accounting, management, human resources, digital business marketing and sales, computer software applications, supply chain, sports and entertainment, entrepreneurship and retail.
Business faculty will be on hand to answer questions about the variety of business degrees and certificates WCC offers, as well as transfer opportunities and careers trends.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the current median salary for a marketing manager is $133,380, a financial manager is $131,710 and a purchasing manager is $75,410.
“Majoring in a business program prepares you for incredible career possibilities and teaches an impressive set of versatile, critical skills that will help you succeed no matter what your career path,” said Eva Samulski, Dean of WCC’s Division of Business & Computer Technologies.
