As part of the United Way National Day of Action, a group of ten WCC staff and retirees banded together to help out the Safe House Center of Ann Arbor with their landscaping woes. The group included John Rinke, Jennifer Nakhleh, Aimee Smith, Linda Williams, Terry Herring, Terry Reeves, Mary Faulkner, and retirees Ginny Dawson, Kathy Stadtfeld and Dorothy Pride.
Although it was a hot and humid Wednesday in June, the trees and bushes were pruned and many overgrown weeds were removed at the entranceway of the Center.
The Center’s staff was excited to see the transformation and noted that the WCC group could come back every year to work their magic.
