Students from the Washtenaw Community College Custom Cars & Concepts program, part of the college’s Auto Body Repair department, teamed up with Detroit classic rock radio station WCSX 94.7 FM to support the station’s annual Stone Soup Project, which restores classic cars for charity. This year’s car was a 1971 Corvette Stingray. WCC students participated by working on the car’s body and paint job. Proceeds from a raffle to own the car, scheduled for Sept. 18, will go to the Holy Cross Children’s Services organization. To purchase tickets, visit the station’s website at www.wcsx.com.
