On July 2, 2008, the United States Congress officially recognized the month of July as Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month.

Mental Health America encourages calling July BIPOC Mental Health Month to be more inclusive.

Bebe Moore Campbell was a fierce mental health advocate, author and teacher. To celebrate the life of Bebe and as a way to learn more about multiple views of what makes up good mental health, take a moment to watch this video
