Stress Less During Finals Week
According to a MentalHelp study, 89% of college students were stressed at least two
to four times per semester and 30% said they were stressed for almost the entire semester.
Finals were the biggest source of stress for 31% of students surveyed. Below is a
week-long schedule of "Stress Less & Study More" events to help you prepare for finals and to take care of you!

Getting Organized for Finals
Time: 1-2 p.m.
Julianne Auty shows you how to effectively organize class notes, handouts, practice
problems and more! Bring a three-ring binder and any other organizational materials
you have on hand.
MONDAY, APRIL 19
DIY Study Guide
Time: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Soye Niyi-Fatunke will teach you how to develop a personalized study guide that integrates
into your study plan and focuses on areas that you don't already know.
TUESDAY, APRIL 20
Brain Breaks with the Success Coaching Team
Time: 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Give your brain a study break with some fun and relaxation! Grace Fama and the Success
Coaching team will provide virtual trivia, coloring, a pet show and tell, and more!
Finals Exam Jam
Time: 6-9 p.m.
Join the Learning Commons Peer Tutors for a drop-in study marathon. Whether you're
working on projects or studying for an exam, our tutors can help you prepare for success.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21
Test Taking Tips
Time: 12-1 p.m.
Lili Stevenson will provide practical tips for taking any test: deciding where to
start, dealing with anxiety, understanding common question styles, using resources
wisely and checking test answers.
THURSDAY, APRIL 22
Study-O-Gram
Time: 12-1 p.m.
Soye Niyi-Fatunke will teach you how to diversify strategies for studying and have
more effective study sessions.
