IT Maintenance: Server configuration on 1/1/23

In order to align with best practices for network design and optimum performance, ITS needs to make some changes to our server configuration on the network. To do so, there will be an outage of approximately 12 hours, hopefully less. Again, we do not expect the outage to take that long but it could.

During the weekly maintenance window on the morning of Sunday, December 4, quarterly operating system and database patches will be applied to all Linux servers that support Banner and Banner-related systems. These applications will be unavailable to faculty, staff and students.

During the weekly maintenance window on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 25, WCC authentication servers will be upgraded. All systems and websites that use authentication/LDAP and/or Single Sign-On will be unavailable from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m.
