Student Emergency Fund – Supporting Students Through Life’s Unexpected Challenges

The Student Emergency Fund (SEF) has helped WCC students stay on track when unexpected financial hardships arise. Administered by the WCC Foundation, SEF provides emergency assistance to students so they can overcome obstacles and continue their education.

Support from donors—individuals, businesses, and foundations—makes this possible. Contributions to the Student Emergency Fund help students facing urgent expenses such as utility shut-offs, car repairs, housing insecurity, and food needs. Every dollar goes toward helping students persist through emergencies and stay focused on their goals.

A Foundation committee carefully reviews each request to ensure support is directed where it’s needed most. These moments of assistance can make all the difference in a student’s ability to complete a semester, a program, or a degree.
