Biology faculty member David A. Wooten and Washtenaw Community College President Dr. Rose B. Bellanca cut the ribbon last week in a ceremony marking completion of the WCC Nature Trail. The nearly two miles of campus trails are dotted with nine interpretive signs, designed and written by Wooten. A trailhead map was drawn by his former student, Adrianne Chissus, who now studies Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell University. The nature trail is used by biology, geology, environmental science, art and photography students and faculty, as well as the general public.
